Civic Type R TCR dominates in TCR Europe at Spa

The Honda Civic Type R TCR dominated the weekend as TCR Europe continued its season at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium with pole position and a double race win.

Auto Club RC2 Valles driver Felipe Fernandez took pole position for a third year in a row and converted it into victory in Saturday’s opening race.

ALM Motorsport’s Ruben Volt then used an early switch to wet tyres to his advantage as he charged from 19th to victory as rain fell on Sunday; his success also securing a class victory in the Youth Trophy.

There was also a treble podium for Metago Racing Team’s Bojan Miljkovic as TCR Eastern Europe and TCR Croatia kicked off at Grobnik.
