Civic Type R TCR finishes 1-2 at Super Taikyu enduro

The Honda Civic Type R TCR returned to the top step of the podium with a one-two finish and a pole position as the ST-TCR season began in Japan’s Super Taikyu endurance series at Suzuka.

The Hitonawa The Team Standard quartet, anchored by ex-Formula 1 racer Shinji Nakano, triumphed by nine laps in the five-hour race from the similar Civic of two-time champions M&K Racing.

There were also three podium finishes in the inaugural TCR Europe Cup event at Spa-Francorchamps with drivers including TCR South America champion Leonel Pernia.
