LA REUNION: MAMISOA RAJOEL WAS THE BEST PERFORMER

Mamisoa  and Muriel Rajoel finished second overall in the Rallye Championship of la R?union after the last round, the Rallye Saint Andr?, which was run 8-9 December 2012.

The Honda Civic R3 crew finished a more 2 points behind Johny Picard in the Subaru N4, after a fierce fight which raged during almost the total length of the rallye. Proof of the fight was his second place in the  scratch of the last special stage behind the Bellon 207 S2000.

There was high tension at the start of this 10th and last special stage, Rajo?l and Picard lying 5th and 6th in the overall standings. Mamisoa Rajoel went flat out in a wild attack. Unfortunately, he finished 3/10 of a second short. Picard carried on, 4 seconds in front of Law-Long. The Subaru driver had the title in his reach.

Mamisoa was the best performer of the Championship, unfortunately, only the five best results are taken into account for the title. The Civic driver was of course disappointed, but very sportingly, he congratulated his opponent with his title: ? I knew I had to gain two places in order to win. I?ve tried everything, but it didn?t work out. It was a beautiful fight. Johny is a worthy champion. He has my compliments?.

Before this last round, Mamisoa and Muriel Rajo?l already confirmed to win the national Group R-title for the third time.
