TCR Italy class victory for Civic Type R TCR at Misano

MM Motorsport ensured the Honda Civic Type R TCR finished the TCR Italy season with a class victory at Misano as the JAS Motorsport-built touring car continued to add to its successes in 2025.

Pellegrini was the dominant figure in the Master class as the series finished for the season at Misano. The MM Motorsport driver qualified on the category pole position and finished second in Saturday’s opening race.

He then won the season finale – his first class victory of the year – in a season’s best fifth place overall to seal second in the category points.

His MM Motorsport team-mates, Michal Bartoszuk and Giacomo Ghermandi, were more unfortunate as both were double retirees. This cost Bartoszuk a shot at the Rookie class title, in which the Polish racer finished second in the points.

William Tally and Tim Lewis Jr followed fifth place at Indiapolis with sixth in TCR as the season concluded with a two-hour race at Road Atlanta.

Tally drove an excellent stint aboard the KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering Civic to move up to eighth during the opening stint and Lewis continued to climb in the second half of the race with a strong and consistent performance.

Montreal Motorsport Group duo Louis Philippe Montour and Karl Wittmer began the weekend with a slim points lead and Montour quickly climbed from his fifth spot on the grid to second in the race, which he maintained almost all the way to the fuel stops.

Heartbreakingly, a mechanical issue led to the Civic Type R TCR stopping in the pitlane shortly after Wittmer had taken over the seat. He and Montour finished third in the points as a result.
