Tiago Pernia gives Civic latest race win
The Honda Civic Type R TCR scored its latest win of the 2026 season as Tiago Pernia triumphed in TCR South America at Concordia.
The JAS Motorsport Development Driver took advantage when his father, long-time leader Leonel Pernia, was hit by a rival on the last lap and slid wide. Leonel completed a one-two finish for the Pernia family and Honda Racing.
Leonel’s pair of second-place finishes helped maintain his points lead with three rounds to go.
There was a double Rookie class win for Team TRC’s William Cheung as TCR China continued at Shanghai, and a first-time overall pole position for Spark Racing’s Jerry Sun as well.
