Triple triumph for Honda NSX GT3 Evo

The JAS Motorsport-built Honda NSX GT3 Evo enjoyed its best weekend of 2025 with victories in three high-profile racing series across the world.

Successes in the TSS Supercar GT3 season-opener, a world-first win for the latest-specification ‘Evo 25’ in the Italian GT Championship plus a maiden class victory in British GT put the icing on the cake for the JAS Motorsport-built race car.

Thailand Super Series Supercar GT3

Singha Motorsport Team Thailand duo Piti Bhirombhakdi and Kantasak Kusiri began their title defence with a superb victory at Buriram.

Bhirombhakdi put their NSX GT3 Evo 22 on pole position and, after losing the lead at the start, remained within one second of the top spot throughout the opening stint of the hour-long race.

A superb pitstop elevated Kusiri into a 10-second lead, which he maintained to the finish. The pair added second place in a wet Sunday encounter, having moved up from third on the grid. They are tied for the lead of the championship.

Italian GT Sprint

Nova Race scored the first global victory for the latest-specification NSX GT3 Evo 25 on a closely-fought weekend of action at Vallelunga in which the team were on the podium three times.

Luca Magnoni qualified second in the Am class for Saturday’s season-opening race, but seized the advantage on the opening lap of Race One as he and co-driver Paolo Rocca went on to take the category victory.

The duo added third in Race Two; a position matched in the Pro class by their team-mates Daniele Di Amato and Felice Jelmini, who retired from Race One.

British GT Championship

Bridger Motorsport’s Johnny Ip and Luke Garlick scored a double Silver-Am success at Oulton Park and an incredible overall podium finish in a scintillating final race that was held in changeable weather.

Resisting the temptation to switch from wet tyres to slicks until the end of the mandatory pit window, the team sent Ip out on dry-weather Pirellis with 25 of the 60 minutes remaining while many rival cars in both Silver-Am and Pro-Am elected to stay on wets.

Ip’s instant pace proved Bridger’s decision was the right one as he turned almost a 40-second deficit to second place into just 0.4s by the chequered flag; earning the NSX GT3 Evo 22 its first series podium at only its third event.

Their Race One Silver-Am win was more routine and leaves the pair second in the standings.

TCR Italy

Jacopo Cimenes scored his first series pole position with a scintillating lap at Vallelunga, but the MM Motorsport driver was slow off the line and an innocent victim in a multi-car incident triggered by another driver.

He recovered strongly from 10th on the partially-reversed Race-Two grid to finish fifth overall and fourth in the Under-25s class.

Team-mate Michal Bartoszuk scored a Rookie class pole position on only his second weekend of car racing and finished third and second in the category to hold a share of the points lead. Marco Pellegrini was fourth in the Masters class in Race One.
